Terms and Conditions

Submitting a booking form or retuning via email or post implies that you have read and understood our terms and conditions:

Release Terms
Because doves cannot safely navigate home in bad weather, we are unable to release them in conditions such as strong winds, heavy rain, snow or fog. If a release is cancelled due to bad weather, a full refund will be given including the initial deposit. This excludes display only events where the birds remain in their display cages.

Birds will not be released indoors.

A Symbolic Doves,  experienced handler will attend all events. Symbolic Doves Release will not send by post any birds for self-release.

It is essential that the birds arrive home before dark. Symbolic Doves  therefore reserves the right to decide an appropriate release time.

The final decision to proceed with the release of birds is at the sole discretion of the Symbolic Doves Release handler.

Due to a controlled diet, it is unlikely that the birds will leave droppings during a release. However, this is natural process which cannot be controlled or anticipated.

Symbolic Doves will not be held responsible for any accident or injury however caused during the process of release or while in attendance at an event.

Payment Terms and Booking
A nonrefundable deposit of £50 is payable with booking. The full balance is due no later than 14 days before the event release date.

There is a mileage charge of 90p per mile for attending events beyond a 20 mile radius of central Glossop, Derbyshire or Warrington, Cheshire (this is calculated from the birds’ loft to destination and return). Mileage charges therefore calculated after 1st free 20 miles.

An additional fee of £40 per hour may be charged if your release time is delayed.

Please be as accurate as possible when requesting a release time. We reserve the right to abandon an event without refund if the release is delayed jeopardising a following booking on the same day.

In the case of a cancellation made by you within 4 weeks of the booked event the deposit is nonrefundable. If a cancellation is made within 2 weeks of the event the deposit plus a charge of 50% of the full service price is due.

Symbolic Doves promises to do the best it can to assure the best possible quality of dove release. It is important that you communicate to us your exact wishes so we can best serve you.

Bookings will not be accepted unless accompanied by a properly completed booking form and a deposit.
