After spending five years training and passing the National Association of Funeral Directors Diploma, I established Unsworth Funeral Services in 1987, at the age of 21 and soon became a recognised business within the New Mills area. Helping families throughout the town and further a field.
In 1998 the business expanded with the purchase of J & S M Williamson Funeral Service in Whaley Bridge and in 2007 Unsworth Memorials was formed to enable the company to offer families a more complete service by looking after their memorial requirements.
In May 2011, a new office in Bollington was opened, taking the business into a new area but still providing a close family service.
